About Us

Harmonica is a portal site for information on nurturing language skills for CLD children. Specific sites for children, students, parents, teachers, researchers, and government use are listed.

We came up with the name “Harmonica”, so it can become a website for kids growing up in a mulitilinguistic culture following the footsteps of “CLARINET” and “CASTA-NET” by the Ministry of Education. We hope it will bring a multilingual harmony amongst the kids.

ポータルサイト「ハーモニカ」は、CLD児の言語育成をめざして情報を提供するためのウェブサイトです。子どもや生徒、保護者、先生、支援者、研究者、行政関係者のそれぞれの立場の人にとって役に立つウェブサイトを集めました。
「ハーモニカ」の名称は、文部科学省の「CLARINET」「かすたねっと」に続く多言語環境に育つ子どものためのウェブサイト、という意味で楽器の名前からえらびました。多言語のハーモニーが子どもたちを楽しませてくれるように、という願いをこめました。

Development｜開発について

“Harmonica” is developed by Yoko Suzuki (International Christian University – Mitaka, Tokyo) under the Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research for academic years 2013-2015. The original idea came from studying and communicating with participants of “OBC/B-DRA Workshop” (Kazuko Nakajima, Eriko Ishii, Chiho Sakurai) from 2009-2014.

Information listed in this site has been collected from mailing lists and students of the workshops, and much other information supplied by friends and co-workers. Information gained through the Toronto Study Tour has also been helpful.

「ハーモニカ」は鈴木庸子（国際基督教大学（東京都三鷹市））が平成24-26年度科学研究費基盤研究（C） 「複数言語環境における子どもの言語習得支援ポータルサイトの開発と運用に関する研究」により開発しているものです。開発の着想は、2009年から2014年まで行った「OBC/B-DRA実践ワークショップ」（講師中島和子、石井恵理子、櫻井千穂）での学びと参加者の皆さんとの交流から生まれました。
このポータルサイトの情報はメーリングリストやワークショップの修了生の方をはじめ多くの方から寄せられた情報、トロントスタディーツアーで得た情報を核に、集めてきました。

Developer Information｜開発者プロフィール

ICU Japanese Language Program Lecturer, graduated from ICU, Lecturer of Tunis University in Tunisia as a JOCV member from 1980-82. Majored in Japanese language instruction using ICT, developed “Shinsho-library” (extensive　reading　program),　”E-Japanese” (Self-learning　system　for　University　educator).
From 2009, coordinator of “OBC/B-DRA workshop” (renamed to “Dialogic language assessment workshop” after 2012).Volunteer of “MAMA TOMO CAFE”(International Mothers Chatting Party) organized by International Mothers Group based within the  NGO “PINATTO” which is located in Mitaka, Tokyo.
